Short version: read them, keep them, pass them on. Do not set up a copy of this library.

What you may do

Download anything here, read it on any device you like, keep it indefinitely, and give a copy to somebody else. Quote from it. Print it. Use it in teaching or in a parish.

What you may not do

Do not re-host or redistribute the library itself — that is, do not mirror these files as a collection, whether on a website, an app, or a bulk download. Several editions here are published under permissions granted specifically to this library, and those permissions do not travel with the file. Redistributing them would put the permission at risk for everyone.

Do not use automated tools to bulk-download the collection. If you want the catalogue in a machine-readable form there is an OPDS feed, and if you want something beyond that, ask.

No warranty

These are unofficial editions prepared from published texts. They may contain transcription errors. They are offered as they are, with no warranty of accuracy or fitness for any purpose, and they are not a substitute for the official text where precision matters.

Changes

Documents may be withdrawn at any time, usually because a rights question has been raised. A withdrawn document's address will return "410 Gone" rather than pretending it was never there.
